13th Biennial Conference of the International Association of Forensic Linguists
on the theme of
New Challenges for Forensic Linguists

Registration is now open for the 13th Biennial Conference of the International Association of Forensic Linguists on the theme of New Challenges for Forensic Linguists. The conference, which is organised jointly by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and the Faculty of Law of the University of Porto aims to identify and discuss new challenges facing Forensic Linguists by sharing the latest research in the field of forensic linguistics/language and the law. The meeting will be held from 10 to 14 July 2017.

An early bird and a regular rate are available. The early bird registration deadline is 15 April 2017. Registration after 15 April 2017 is subject to the regular rate:

The fee includes access to all sessions, conference material, lunches and refreshments during the scheduled breaks, and Welcome Reception on Monday evening, 10 July. Not included in the Registration fee: accommodation, Conference Dinner and Excursions (14 July).

Please note that at least one presenter per paper is required to register and pay the Conference fee via the On-line Registration Form before 15 May 2017 so that the Conference programme can be made available in advance.

The conference will host very high quality papers, posters and colloquia, as well as a pre-conference workshop on authorship analysis (further details coming soon).

The official language of the 13th Biennial Conference of the International Association of Forensic Linguists is English, with the exception of the special track on Portuguese Forensic Linguistics (in Portuguese).
